Doug’s story

Like many others, Doug started as a volunteer with us. We were really impressed with his commitment and work ethic as he worked 4 days a week from 9-5 pm.

Doug’s main roles were manning and upcycling in the Shabby Chic area, carrying out various tasks around the warehouse, manual handling, dealing with customer enquiries and helping out on the vans. His all round abilities were really appreciated and he became a valued member of the team.

After completing his work commitment with Seetec he was offered an apprenticeship with Training Now! which he has now completed and we are delighted to say that Doug is now employed as a full-time Van Driver's Assistant working for our Hailsham and office furniture stores.

Doug has gone from being unemployed, becoming a volunteer to completing an apprenticeship course and he now works full time for us which involves him carrying out a really worthwhile role and one that the whole team relies on.
